Upgrade your free server to a plan without losing the world

No need to start from scratch: the free server moves to a plan as it is, with its world, its mods and its address. You pay for the whole plan, the month starts that day, and from then on it's always on, with no queues.

When a plan is worth it

When the queue or the turns cut your sessions short. When you want your friends to join at any time without anyone having to start it. When the world matters to you and you want backups. Or when the disk runs short.

With a plan your server is always on, with no queues or turns; 2 backups of your own plus an automatic daily one; more disk; and RAM that's yours alone: nobody takes it from you to start another server.

No server yet? Game servers from €6 a month, no contract and a full refund within 72 hours. Or create a free server, no card needed.

How to move the free server to a plan

  1. Open “My plan & invoices”

In the left-hand menu. Your server shows up as “Free server”. You can also get there from “My servers” with “Move to a plan” on its card.

  2. Press “Choose a plan”

The plans for its game appear. If you'd rather pay for 3 months at once, which works out cheaper, tick “Pay for 3 months at once”. If you have a coupon, type it in “Coupon”.

  3. Pick the plan and pay

With that plan's “Choose” button. You pay right there in the panel by card, Google Pay or Apple Pay.

  4. Restart the server

Once paid, your server moves to the plan. Restart it so it starts with the new RAM.

What you pay and when it starts

From the free server you pay the whole first period (one month, or three if you choose quarterly) and it starts the day you pay. No commitment: cancel whenever you like from the same place.

If it's your first payment, type WELCOME in “Coupon”: your first payment is half price, once per person. And your first purchase comes with a full refund within 72 hours.

What stays the same

Everything: the world, the mods and plugins, whatever you have in “Settings”, the files and the address to play. It's the same server, so your friends don't have to change anything.

If you need more RAM than the smallest plan has, pick a bigger one from the start. Later on you can also go up with “More RAM”, paying only the difference for the days left.

Afterwards, another free server

The limit is one free server at a time per person, and yours stops being one when it moves to a plan. So you can request another: for example, your paid Minecraft always on and a free Valheim to try it with your group.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose the world when I move from the free server to a plan?

No. It's the same server: it keeps its world, its mods, its settings and its address.

How much do I pay to move from the free server to a plan?

The price of the plan you choose, in full, for the period you choose (one month or three). The month starts the day you pay.

Can I use the WELCOME coupon when moving to a plan?

Yes: type it in “Coupon” when you choose the plan. Your first payment is half price, once per person.

Can I request another free server afterwards?

Yes. The free server is one at a time per person, and yours stops counting as free once it moves to a plan.

Shall we set it up for you?

Game servers from €6 a month, never oversold: your RAM is yours alone. And if you'd rather start without paying, there's a free server, no card needed.
