Is my Minecraft server online?

Type the server address, the same one you use in the game. We'll tell you whether it responds, how many players are on, which version it runs and its MOTD, just as the server list shows it.

If it says “Not responding”

It's almost always one of three things: the server is offline or starting up, the port isn't the one you think, or it can't be reached from outside (router, firewall or the host). It's explained step by step in “I can't connect to my Minecraft server” (in Spanish). If it's yours and its console shows errors when it starts, see “My Minecraft server won't start” (in Spanish).

Adding someone to the whitelist or giving them permissions? Look up their UUID with the Minecraft UUID lookup.

Is it a Valheim or Project Zomboid server? They have their own tool: Valheim and Project Zomboid.

Show your server's status on your website

When your server responds, its badge appears under the result: a small image with the players online that updates itself every minute. Copy the code for your website, your GitHub README or a forum, and anyone who sees it will know whether you can play before opening the game.

Frequently asked questions

Why does it say “Not responding” when my server is on?

Because it can't be reached from outside: the port isn't open on the router or the firewall, that isn't the right address or port, or the server is still starting up. If nobody can join in the game either, check the connection errors guide.

Does it work for Bedrock servers?

No: it checks Minecraft Java servers. Bedrock ones use a different protocol.

Do I need to add the port?

Only if it isn't 25565 and the address has no SRV record. If you join without a port in the game, you can leave it out here too.

Do you store the addresses I check?

No. The server is queried on the spot and the answer is forgotten within a few seconds (the badge's, after a minute).

How often does the badge update?

At most once a minute: we query your server and keep the answer for that minute. Some sites, like GitHub, cache it a little longer on their own.

Looking for a server that stays up?

At NapNodes the RAM in your plan is yours alone and each machine's load is public on the status page. And if you want to start, there's a free Minecraft server, no card needed.
