Several servers on one plan: your account's RAM
At NapNodes you don't pay for a server: you pay for RAM and disk. All your plans add up in your account and you split it however you like, across different games if needed: with 8 GB, a 4 GB Minecraft and a 4 GB Valheim, for example. It's all done from “My servers”.
How your account's RAM works
Each paid plan puts its RAM and disk into your account. If you have two plans, they add up. With that RAM you can have as many servers as you like, of any game, as long as the total doesn't go over what you pay for.
At the top of “My servers” you see it at a glance: “Your RAM: N GB free of M”, the free disk and a bar with what each server uses. Below, each server's card.
It's still RAM that's yours alone, never oversold: the RAM you have free isn't given to anyone, not even to free servers. Your free server, if you have one, is separate and doesn't count here.
No server yet? Game servers from €6 a month, no contract and a full refund within 72 hours. Or create a free server, no card needed.
Create another server with your free RAM
Press “Create server”
In the strip at the top of “My servers”. Only the games that fit in what you have free are listed.
Pick the game, RAM and disk
RAM, from your free RAM, in half-GB steps; disk, for the world, mods and backups. You can change both later whenever you like.
Press “Create”
It installs and starts by itself in a few minutes. It's named after you plus a number (marco2, marco3…), and its address to play comes from that name; change it in “Address to play” → “Change”.
Each game's minimum RAM
Each game needs a minimum to run well: 2 GB for Minecraft and Valheim, 4 GB for Hytale and 6 GB for Project Zomboid, because Build 42 won't run on less. A Discord bot, from 256 MB. If you don't have enough left for a game, it isn't listed. How much to give each one for its players and mods, the RAM calculator tells you.
Disk works the same way: each game needs a minimum to install (Zomboid the most, because it downloads about 7 GB).
Moving RAM between servers with “Adjust”
Disk is changed the same way, with one condition: you can't give a server less than it already uses.
Open “Adjust” on the card
The card opens out full width with that server's RAM and disk.
Pick the new RAM
It saves as soon as you pick it, with no apply button. Whatever you take away is left free for another server.
Restart it
The new RAM applies on restart: the notice that appears has a “Restart” button.
Give it to the other server
Open “Adjust” on the other one and raise its RAM with what's now free. Restart it too.
When you're short of RAM
Three ways out: take RAM from a server that isn't using it, archive one you aren't playing (it keeps its world and frees all its RAM) or buy more.
“Buy RAM”, in the same strip, adds RAM to your account without choosing a game, from 1 to 16 GB, with 5 GB of disk per GB. It's left free: create a server with it or give it to one with “Adjust”.
If you stop paying one of your plans
If you have several plans and one goes unpaid or ends, its servers aren't suspended or deleted: they move to another of your plans. If they don't all fit in less RAM, some are archived whole, with their world, instead of cutting anyone's RAM. Their card says “Archived: not enough RAM (comes back by itself)” and they come back by themselves as soon as there's RAM again: when you pay, or buy a plan or more RAM.
If without that plan your servers use more disk than you pay for, we warn you straight away, after 7 days and the day before. After 14 days the archived servers that don't fit are deleted, starting with the ones archived longest.
With no plan up to date, the usual: suspended 2 days after the due date and deleted after 14.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have several servers on one plan?
Yes. Your plan's RAM belongs to your account and you split it across as many servers as you like, of any game, respecting each one's minimum.
Can I have a Minecraft server and a Valheim server at the same time?
Yes, if your RAM covers both: with “Create server” in “My servers” you make the second one with the RAM you have free.
Does the free server count towards my account's RAM?
No. Your account's RAM is that of your paid plans; the free server is separate, with its own rules.
When does a server's new RAM apply?
When you restart it. After changing it in “Adjust”, the notice has a “Restart” button.
Shall we set it up for you?
Game servers from €6 a month, never oversold: your RAM is yours alone. And if you'd rather start without paying, there's a free server, no card needed.
