How to Get Your Server on Hytale's Official Server List
Since Update 5 (May 2026), Hytale has a built-in browser for community servers, Server Discovery. To appear in it, you create a profile from your Hytale account, a moderator reviews it and you link the server with a command. This is what Hypixel Studios has published and what the 0.7.2 server (Update 7) says.
What players see
From the game, players search for servers by name or description, filter by type, audience and region, save favourites and sort the list by featured (picked by the Hytale team), by likes or by their favourites.
Since Update 6, each profile can have its own image (if it has no approved one, the default appears) and the server address is hidden at first. The browser only shows servers the player can join, so your server has to run the game's version. Parent-managed accounts don't get this browser.
Rather not set it up yourself? Hytale servers from €8 a month, no contract and a full refund within 72 hours. Or create a free Hytale server, no card needed.
Creating your server profile
Sign in to your Hytale account
On your account's management site (Account Manager), open “Server Profiles” and click “Create server”.
Name and description
What makes it worth joining: what it's about, how it plays, what makes it different. It's what people search for.
Server type
Survival, Adventure/RPG, Creative, PvP, Minigames, Roleplay, Social, Sandbox or Other.
Audience
Everyone, Teen or Mature. It has to be accurate: filters and parental controls use it, and Hytale penalises profiles that don't comply.
Regions
The ones you serve, out of ten options. For a server in Spain, Europe (EU).
Submit it for review
A moderator checks that the details are true and follow the rules for servers (Server Operator Policies). They're reviewed in the order they arrive.
Profile statuses
Your profile's card shows where it stands: Under review (waiting), Accepted, Denied (read the reason, fix it and resubmit), Pending verification (checking the domain) or Paused (you've hidden it). Afterwards you can edit almost everything; changing the address may send it back to review.
Verifying the domain (optional)
If your server has its own domain, you can prove it's yours by adding a TXT record that Hytale gives you: the profile shows the verified badge and nobody can impersonate you.
It isn't required: Hypixel says you can publish it with an IP or unverified, just without that badge. What they do remove is a profile that stays in “Pending verification” for more than 30 days.
Linking the server to its profile
Copy your profile's token
Once the profile is accepted, its card shows a discovery token. Keep it safe like a password.
Check which profile the server is linked to
It has to be the same Hytale profile that owns the server profile. If not, the server replies that it's linked to another profile.
Type “discovery link” and the token
As an operator, in the server console (without “/”) or in chat (with “/”).
Wait for the linked message
“Successfully linked your server to server discovery”. “discovery unlink” unlinks it.
Why your server disappears from the list
Once linked, the server checks in with the browser every two minutes and reports its version. If it stops checking in for more than two minutes (because it's stopped or has crashed), the profile is hidden until it comes back. All you have to do is keep it running and on the players' version.
And each game profile can only have one server profile. If you want to list several servers, each one needs its own Hytale profile.
With NapNodes
Your server is already linked to your Hytale account (you linked it yourself the first time), so if the server profile belongs to the same game profile, the token links straight away: type “discovery link” and the token in “Console”. In the profile, enter the address exactly as it appears in “Address to play”.
The address we give you is a subdomain of napnodes.com: you can't add a TXT record to it, so you won't be able to verify it and the profile will go without the verified badge, unless you use a domain of your own. That's fine: Hypixel lets you publish it unverified. What you shouldn't do is leave it waiting for a verification that will never come, because after 30 days in “Pending verification” it's removed.
To stay on the list, the server has to be running. The free server stops by itself after 20 minutes with nobody on and its profile would be hidden; for an open community you need a plan, which is always on. And since it updates itself as soon as nobody's on, it never stays on an old version.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get my Hytale server on the server list?
Create a profile in “Server Profiles” in your Hytale account, wait for it to be accepted and link the server by typing “discovery link” and the profile's token in its console.
Why isn't my Hytale server showing on the list?
Because the profile is still under review, because the server hasn't checked in for more than two minutes (stopped or crashed), because it's on a different version from the players, or because it isn't linked with “discovery link”.
Do I need a domain to be on Hytale's server list?
No. The domain is only for verifying the profile; without one, it appears without the verified badge.
Can I put several servers on Hytale's list?
One server profile per game profile: for several servers, each with its own profile.
What is the Hytale discovery token?
The key your server uses to tell the browser it's running and on which version. You copy it from your profile's card and link it with “discovery link”.
Shall we set it up for you?
Hytale servers from €8 a month, never oversold: your RAM is yours alone. And if you'd rather start without paying, there's a free Hytale server, no card needed.
