RLCraft server hosting

The hardest and most popular modpack: tough, realistic survival, dragons, thirst, temperature and wounds.

What it needs: 8 GB

With 178 mods on the server, we recommend the Diamond plan (8 GB, €16/month), for 20–30 players. The RAM is yours alone: we never sell it twice. If it falls short, you move up to a bigger plan without reinstalling anything.

First time with RLCraft? The RLCraft server guide covers the version (1.12.2 with Java 8), the real RAM, the settings worth keeping and the usual errors.

How it's installed

  1. Get the server

The Diamond plan or bigger. It's created in a couple of minutes.

  2. Open “Mods & plugins” in the panel

The “Modpacks” tab, “Search on: CurseForge”, search for “RLCraft” and press “Install”.

  3. Wait a few minutes

Forge 1.12.2 is set up, the modpack's server pack (the one its author prepares) is downloaded, and the server starts on its own. If you already had a world, it's set aside: nothing is deleted.

  4. Your friends, from the CurseForge app

Each player installs “RLCraft” in the CurseForge app (or the launcher they use) and joins with your server's address.

Frequently asked questions

How much RAM does a RLCraft server need?

We recommend 8 GB to play as a group. With lots of players or a heavily explored world, one plan up.

Which Minecraft version does it use?

The version we install is the latest one published on CurseForge (with a server pack): today, Minecraft 1.12.2 with Forge. Your players must use the same one, which the CurseForge app installs for them.

Can I switch modpacks later?

Yes, from the same place. The previous world and mods are set aside under another name, in case you want to go back.
